Uganda has launched the Global Adult Tobacco Survey Report 2024 According to the GATs report Uganda has over 1.5million smokers. The report showed that smoking is more prevalent in men than among women Tobacco use is a risk factor for the four major Non- communicable Diseases (NCDs) and these people are likely to develop one or more NCDs within the next 1-5 years. The report also shows a decline in the use of Tobacco among the young people 14-22 at 2.2% and 25-45 at 6.2%. #MOHatWork
