@SXR123 Kyoshi used the avatar state to create an island, other avatars use it to lavabend three volcanoes at once and also to generate big waves.. aang did not even do all of this in his avatar state yet he was OG. But in the movie it was just so nerfed

The Avatar State in the OG show gave the Avatar the ability to generate hurricanes, create tsunami waves, force volcanoes to erupt and more. It is very clear that the AS terrified Aang for a majority of the show before book 3. It was legitimately a terrifying thing to witness for anyone. When Roku used it against Sozin, he blew apart an entire wing of his palace. Sozin was an incredibly powerful firebender and was certainly no pushover. Whenever the AS was used, it was always decisive. There was no question of whether or not using it would end the conflict, it was just that overwhelmingly powerful. The only time we see it "fail" is when Azula takes a cheap shot, but had she not done so, that entire room of Azula, Zuko and the entirety of the Dai Li would have been cooked. No single bender had the ability to fight the avatar in the AS and even that entire room of benders would not have been able to beat it either. That is how ridiculously strong the AS was. Imo, seeing it spammed in this clip makes it feel worthless. There's basically no difference whether he uses it or not and it's simply used to make the bad guy seem that much stronger.

How did Aang forget that he could earth bend and air bend here???? He made an escalator with Toph before, why didn't he just use that move again? They didn't think a lot of things in this movie through tbh, it was a cheap cash grab.

@JORMUNGAND_rr It was only when he was falling, he remembered he could earthbend... That's just Plot induced Stupidity. Besides wearing a suit as an Airbender when normally they use air to regulate their temperature LoL

@0xHalo_ Meelo beating zaheer in air to air combat is so real. Zaheer is a good fighter but not a great airbender, he uses fighter instinct to fight rather than air bender instinct, plus, he has no training with the elements.

Reasons Zaheer is never Beating Taga 1. Taga his a 5000 years old Experienced Airnomand 2. He has undiscovered Air Bending Skills 3. He his more cruel and determined than Zaheer 4. He has nothing to lose 5. Toph earthbending and seismic sense was taught also but seismic sense being the harder to learn, then invented metal bending, taught herself sandbending and mudbending.. besides Toph was a master before 12 also. Probably 10

Enough time has passed, I can finally say it. This Avatar movie was sub par, a low 6/10, we were just eating nostalgia, the entirety of team Avatar was heavily nerfed, Toph and Zuko in particular, there is no world where one Airbender beats the entirety of team Avatar.

@0xHalo_ Amon would lose cos he needs gestures to bloodbend unlike his father.. so toph wins since she has seismic sense and can counter him.. there's no way Amon is touching Toph in the same room except if they're far away from each other

Many of you are ignoring the facts that Amon is a blood bender He does not need the full moon to blood bend Also, he can take away your bending while he blood bends you to your knee To me, Amon will smoke all of them in this list What would have been fair is adding Katara to this list, He aiit touching her So, Amon will come out alive Yes, he will leverage his blood bending to beat Toph

@geroogeroogeroo @Idan_54 Naah, yakone taught his two sons how to bloodbend without having his bending. Do you understand the level of mastery you need to have to do that? And he only wears a mask cos he's a coward. His father was a villian and he didn't do that. He didn't want to be caught cos he's weak.

@Idan_54 Fr man... I'm biased when it gets to Toph tho but to me she's the greatest genius in ATLA. Cos why Aang could learn the all 4 elements as the Avatar and in a short time, Toph also learnt 3 different sub bending of earthbending in the same amount of time and faster than Aang too.
