@KineticTVe soy artista de modelos vtuber no veo el problema en que mis hijos vtubers me den una referencia con IA para que yo les haga el modelo (con tal que no pase mi arte por la IA despues :/) , al menos decidieron luego comisionar a otros artistas asi que no veo el problema

Controversial topic: AI. I think most artists despise AI. This is pretty much clear. But we shouldn’t treat the people who USE AI like they are also slop. They might just be uneducated on how much trouble AI causes. Can we try something like this next time, artists?

I've had several clients who ask me to create their VTubers using an AI reference. I simply accept them as long as they don't pass the VTuber model's artwork to the AI. There were even times when they asked me to imitate the AI's style, and I normally do it since I've gone through various drawing styles over all the years I've been drawing, so imitating that style was quite easy for me, to be honest 🫤 (I know that AI is just another tool; if clients decided to create their own OC designs and then commission real artists, that's not bad at all, as long as they respect the commissioned art, everything's fine)

i get not wanting to work with AI references. artists can set whatever boundaries they want. but telling someone who is actively trying to PAY for human made art to “draw it yourself first” feels backwards.
if the goal is supporting artists, turning away people trying to commission artists seems counterproductive. most clients can’t draw- that’s literally why commissions exist. and in this case, commissioning would be replacing the AI image with human work, not the other way around. 😩

@wwaarko @CocoExiliado pues yo siendo de parte selva ni sabia que asi se preparaba xd (ya que al menos donde yo estoy se usa un método que ni es ese) y si da asquito pero que se le puede hacer si ellos no quieren cambiar sus costumbres ya que mayormente lo hacen asi en comunidades bien al fondo
