At first, YouTube said the channels were removed for posting sexually gratifying content. Later, the company clarified that ASMR itself was not the issue. Instead, it said some creators linked to external websites containing content that violated YouTube’s nudity and sexual content policies.

According to the company, data shows that most PlayStation players already buy games digitally, and it doesn’t see physical discs as a key factor in why people choose consoles over PC.
