tl;dr We paid a designer ~$70,000 to create some 14,000 stock market icons for us (think AAPL, VTI, SPY, etc). We've only received ~1,500 of them and he's now ghosting us. Buckle up...here's how that played out and where we're at now...

i failed pretty hard at my first startup--it sucked!--and am doing pretty well on my second. the thing i wish someone told me during the first one is that no one else thinks about your failures as much as you do, and that as long as don't psych yourself out you can try again.

One of the hardest aspects of the human experience is piecing together how the external world views you. We’re inclined to think we emanate a single image, but we’re more like moving art pieces, with different meaning for everyone based on their own perspectives/experiences.
