Driven by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji's vision to make aviation more inclusive and affordable, today Hon'ble Civil Aviation Minister Shri Ram Mohan Naidu and Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shri Mohan Yadav Ji in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla Ji, Moca secretary Shri Samir Kumar Sinha and other senior officials flagged off a historic flight connecting Rewa to Raipur. It marked the momentous launch of the 'Fare Se Fursat – One Route One Fare' scheme on six routes of Alliance Air. Under this initiative, fixed fares will be offered across routes connecting unserved/underserved sectors including Rewa–Raipur, Tirupati–Rajahmundry and others. Passengers will be able to book the seat at a fixed fare, irrespective of the date of booking or travel. Hon'ble minister expressed his sincere appreciation to Hon’ble CM and Deputy CM for the VGF support in connecting Rewa to Raipur. Aligned with the vision of enhancing ease of flying, 'Fare Se Fursat' ensures predictable airfares for making air travel more convenient and dignified. On this occasion, CISF barracks at Khajuraho Airport were also inaugurated. This will provide a convenient working environment to CISF personnel. Addressing the Workshop on Major Infrastructure Projects and Digital Monitoring in AAI at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, Sh. @samirsinha69, Secretary, @MoCA_GoI, highlighted India as one of the fastest-growing aviation markets and emphasized the need to accelerate infrastructure development and strengthen air navigation services. With a Capex of over ₹5,500 crore earmarked for key projects, he stressed the importance of digital monitoring platforms to enable faster, transparent decision-making and support AAI in meeting global standards in a competitive aviation sector.

It was a pleasure and privilege to receive Shri Samir Kumar Sinha, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, along with Shri Vipin Kumar, IAS, Chairman, Airport Authority of India in my office. Shri Sinha, as Assam cadre officer,  has been a valued colleague and dear friend for over three decades, and it was wonderful to reconnect and reflect on our long professional association and shared journey in public service. We sincerely thank the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Airports Authority of India for their continued support to the Government of Assam. The signing of the MoU to conduct pre-feasibility studies for five greenfield airports at Manas, Majuli, Charaideo, Umrangso and Diphu marks an important milestone towards strengthening regional air connectivity and accelerating Assam’s growth and development. Strengthening India’s Aviation Network – Summer 2026 The 4-Day Domestic Slot Coordination Meeting for Summer Season 2026 was inaugurated at Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, Safdarjung Airport, in the august presence of the Secretary, @MoCA_GoI, Sh. @samirsinha69, Chairman, AAI, Sh. @vipinkumarIAS, and officials from @MoCA_GoI & AAI. The meeting witnessed active participation from airline network planners, slot coordinators from airports across India, and representatives from the Indian Air Force @IAF_MCC and Indian Navy @indiannavy, reflecting a truly collaborative approach. Focused deliberations are underway to finalize the Summer 2026 flight schedule, optimize airport capacity, and enhance seamless nationwide connectivity—reinforcing a shared commitment to strengthening India’s civil aviation ecosystem.

Secretary (Civil Aviation) today held a monthly review meeting with major Indian airlines. DG, DGCA, Chairman AAI along with senior officials of MoCA and DGCA were also present during the meeting, wherein, key areas including safety, on-time performance, passenger grievance redressal and other operational issues were discussed. Feedback from airlines was also taken on multiple fronts. Strengthening reforms for enhanced passenger comfort was strongly emphasised. Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Samir Kumar Sinha, hails the Union Budget 2026-27, emphasising that it supports in making the country’s Aviation sector Atmanirbhar. Talking exclusively to #AkashvaniNews, he says the exemption of basic customs duty on aircraft and Indian components will significantly boost domestic aircraft manufacturing. Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Samir Kumar Sinha, said the extension of tax reduction in GIFT IFSC to 20 years aligns aircraft leasing broadly with the full life-cycle of aviation assets. Ministers highlighted new partnerships aimed at fleet expansion and the establishment of assembly lines, reinforcing India’s growing role in the global aviation ecosystem. Deliberations focused on addressing security and supply chain challenges, while unlocking new avenues for sustainable growth. Panelists emphasised deeper cooperation across aviation, tourism, and economic domains with India. A quiet but significant shift is underway in India’s aerospace manufacturing ecosystem. To further strengthen passenger-centric governance, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has established a permanent 24×7 Passenger Assistance Control Room (PACR) at Udaan Bhawan, New Delhi. PACR functions as an integrated hub with MoCA, DGCA, AAI, airlines and stakeholders working together for real-time monitoring, coordination and grievance redressal. Since 3 December 2025, over 13,000 passenger grievances and 500+ call-based interventions have been resolved through focused monitoring and expedited action, with priority given to delays, cancellations, refunds and baggage-related issues in line with the Passenger Charter. The maiden Flight Safety Seminar of @IndiaCoastGuard was held at Sam Manekshaw Centre, #NewDelhi on 23 Dec 25. Shri Samir Kumar Sinha IAS, Secretary, Civil Aviation, graced the event as chief guest and applauded the critical role of #ICG aviation towards law enforcement in maritime domain and #SAR cover to seafarers. The event witnessed guest lectures by various domain specialists and participation of stakeholders from armed forces and civil aviation. Enriching discussions on latest technologies, best practices and aviation challenges was live streamed across #ICG for broader engagement. The first edition of Flight Safety Compendium featuring case studies of #ICG aviation accidents, safety advisories and policies was also unveiled during #FSS 2025 reaffirming #ICG's commitment to a robust aviation safety culture. #WeProtect

In view of prevailing fog and low-visibility conditions impacting flight operations, airlines have been directed to strictly comply with passenger facilitation norms, in the interest of passenger safety and convenience. This includes: • Timely and accurate flight information • Meals and refreshments for extended delays • Rebooking or refunds in case of cancellations • No denial of boarding after timely check-in • Assistance during diversions and for persons with disabilities (PwDs) • Timely refunds, baggage facilitation and effective grievance redressal DGCA has been tasked with ensuring uniform implementation and close monitoring of compliance by all airlines. Hon’ble Minister Shri Ram Mohan Naidu, accompanied by Secretary (MoCA) Shri Samir Kumar Sinha, Chairman (AAI) Shri Vipin Kumar, and senior officials, visited the Delhi ANS Centre late on November 7 to review the on-ground situation following the technical glitch in the ATC messaging system at Delhi Airport. From the onset, teams from Airports Authority of India (AAI), Air Navigation Services (ANS), and Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL) worked round the clock to identify and rectify the issue. Owing to the coordinated efforts of ECIL engineers, ATC personnel, and the Ministry’s proactive monitoring, the system was fully restored to automatic mode by the afternoon of November 8. Later in the evening today, Shri Ram Mohan Naidu visited the ATC Tower to review normalised operations and appreciated the commitment of the teams that worked overnight to resolve the issue. @RamMNK @AAI_Official @samirsinha69
