އެމްޑީޕީއިން މާލޭގައި މިރޭ ކުރިއަށް ގެންދިޔަ ސުލްޙަވެރި ހިނގާލުމުގެ ތެރޭން މާލޭ ސިޓީ މޭޔަރ @adamazim އަށް ދިން ޙަމަލާ ހަރުކަށި ޢިބާރާތުން ކުށްވެރިކުރަން.

އިއްޔެ 44000 މެމްބަރުން އެމްޑީޕީ ގައި ތިއްބާ މިއަދު މެމްބަރޝިޕް އަދަދު އެ އެރީ 50000 އަށް. އަދި ވިސްނުންތެރިކަމާއެކު ފުރުސަތު ދީގެން މިކަން ކުރިނަމަ ޕާޓީގެ މެންބަރޝިޕް 60000 އަށް އެރުވޭނެ ފުރުަސަތު މި ގެއްލުނީ.

The LCE election results are undeniable evidence that the Maldivian people demand reform, and that MDP is the vessel they have chosen to put their faith in. We must answer their trust by modernizing, understanding the demands of the current day, and evolving to meet the citizens needs. The path to doing so begins with ensuring a fair and transparent process to elect a new chair of MDP. Given that the current chair has proven unable to maintain the momentum and unity that led to this huge win, and has been forced to disregard the constitution of the party in removing elected officials from the positions, I have signed the motion to remove the current chair of MDP and pave the way forward to better days. Without systemic reform we risk falling back into old failures. The path to reforming MDP is a long and arduous one. We must re-envision and redetermine the values by which we stand, and rebuild the foundation of the party that brought democracy to the Maldives, and the only one to have ever sought to serve the people of the country. This is the time to debate and question, and to build the way forward to a party that is once again connected with the roots of this country. I call for a congress of the party to be held with the greatest haste, and for all citizens and members of the party to put forward ideas that will help shape the path of reform this party must take. If we wish to reform our country, we must first reform our party.

The Maldivian people have overwhelmingly rejected President Muizzu at yesterday’s polls, both for the referendum and the local council elections. This verdict is the result of the obliteration of separation of powers, a failing economy, and the growing tyranny of the administration and the president, all of which the people have wholeheartedly rejected. What is clear from the debate and discussion of the past weeks is that there is appetite for real reform, and though President Muizzu’s referendum was rejected, we are clearly overdue for a rethink of our constitution and our systems of governance as a whole. With the win comes a deep responsibility. We must work with the people toward finding solutions that serve all of us, and execute the mandate given to us wisely.

Strongly condemn the devious attack on Iran by Israel and the USA. They will not rest until a completely reshaped middle east with greater Israel encompassing the whole of the middle East is created. Its time we stopped pretending that a western led human rights and democratic system retains any credibility. Its completely bankrupt and neither do the west pretend otherwise. Without a just international order there will be no peace but empire and impunity. A new Champion needs to step forward to bring back honour and trust in Global affairs. The Global South must take up the mantle of the guardian of a new order advancing a just, people centered framework for Global governance. Once Iran is decimated the focus will slowly but surely shift to Turkiye and Egypt and beyond.

This fascist, hypocritical sanctimonious government is rapidly forcing this state into a dictatorship, and a deeply incompetent one at that, without values or laws. The Home Minister’s use of state resources to spy on citizens —and declaring this publicly— without even understanding the gravity of the abuse and corruption, is beyond belief. Our nation’s current trajectory is one that causes serious fear. We do not want a "Big brother" state, where every camera and piece of data is used to control the public and steal the vote. Everyone who values justice, personal freedom and concern for the future of this nation must urgently come together despite differences, those of a political ilk and those not, those who are disillusioned and those who are hopeful, must now combat this government and stop the decay which has come to define this regime, with all possible haste. We MUST say NO to this insane regime.
