Take a look at the on-chain data. It’s easy to criticize, but asking "how did past Binance projects do?" without context is shortsighted.
Letting a token bleed to zero while the team sits on an allocation helps no one: not the users, and certainly not the project. At Based, we’ve made deliberate choices. We believe that Open Interest and volatility are assets to a token’s health, not its enemies.
While Hyperliquid is our home, external CEX distribution is vital for discovery. It’s a funnel: we use that reach to onboard new users into our app and, ultimately, into the Hyperliquid ecosystem. Excluding Phantom (a Solana-native wallet), we are already #1 in volume and #2 in users among all HL builder projects. If that isn't "alignment," I don’t know what is.
We don't waste budgets bribing KOLs or throwing party. We’ve stayed focused on shipping a real product that provides real value. We know that money slapping marketing and sugar coating a product for a short term win is easier, but we chose the harder, more sustainable path.
We are fully aware that in this brutal market, so many alts are losing their value and heading toward zero. This makes speaking out publicly like this very sensitive, as I know it could easily return as mockery if things don’t go as planned.
However, there are so many things you can’t learn unless you actually try. Since we are a team driven by the goal of building a successful product, I fully support the experiments and risks we are taking. As a team member, I’m rooting for our journey every step of the way.
