Sampfords Cricket Club

Close game for us yesterday to start the season off against @TwinsteadCC . We came up 8 runs short in the end but some lovely cricket shown from both sides!

First win of the season today at home against @SWCCcrocus 3rds. Highlights were 38 for @nick_hopkinson and our best bowling display in a long time, except maybe @Maiders153 12 ball over🫣. Soon we might even learn to catch!

A busy weekend this weekend, with a Saturday game against @TwinsteadCC and a Sunday game against @StanstedCC . Sadly two losses. Highlights were @Maiders153 50 Not Out on Saturday, and J Drane and @GilbankWill taking 3 wickets each on Sunday.

Fun start to the season today against @Ashdoncricket. Not the result we wanted, but a fair one nonetheless. Highlight was J Smith’s 53 (off 30 overs) and some excellent fielding all round.

Two close games this weekend, unfortunately we came out second best on both occasions. Our bests were a 40 for @GilbankWill and 3 for 20 off 4 for Malcolm Wright.
