@ShebeshiM @LauraKirk12 big disappointment for me is that the squad isn't stepping up. thought we had good depth this season but we seem to have numbers but the quality drop off is bigger than I thought it was

@AFCBenjh @LauraKirk12 Eze has never been trusted on the left since not tracking Cash, just because he's 16 doesn't mean I cant highlight something he can improve on

@Sampson05 @LauraKirk12 Completely disagree. He wasn't perfect but he did a lot in the game and they had to hack him down to stop him at times.

@AFCBenjh @LauraKirk12 not sure you understood my point, Max absolutely was out attacking star but Arteta expects us to defend as a team so to see him jogging back for the first goal was disappointing. he's 16,not perfect , we shouldnt be relying on him to see us to the league, others should step up

@ShebeshiM @LauraKirk12 he should be judged on the same standards as all the other players. he was good but the team as a whole was poor in the off the ball moments

@ShebeshiM @LauraKirk12 what difference does his age make?? he's a good enough player but Arteta wants tracking back as well attacking intent. watch the first goal again, he's jogging back . Eze lost his place for weeks for not tracking his player , has never been trusted on the left again

@TomCantonMedia Kepa at fault even before the goal when he got the yellow, his decision making is poor as is his ability to play the ball out from the back. Raya is better with his feet and would have problem solved the high press better Not all about Kepa but a major factor

@clivepafc first half wasnt amazing but felt we would improve. 2nd half we just seemed to sink deep they pushed 4 up front and our horseshoe ended up on the edge of our own box instead of in their half I know we're missing players but our lack of creativity is a worry moving forwards

Very few positives But… We have to feel this one and own our collective poor performance But if there was one competition to learn lessons - it was the 4th most important We do HAVE to learn Rest up and we go again - no sulking So many people here today deserved more

@LauraKirk12 @arseblog @gunnerblog FFS Arsenal I can't keep doing it. I forsee several heart attacks between now and the end of the season. relying on Saliba and Gabriel for progressive passes as part of the horseshoe has got to stop. I'm off to a dark room for an hour or 2

@LauraKirk12 I thought having a week break between games or rotating for Mansfield would help us look fresher but we seem to lack the rhythm playing every 3 days gives. deffo going to have cardiac issues by the end of the season at this rate

@clivepafc @FootballEra_ not sure kroupi can be classed as an upgrade yet , too small a sample size and isn't consistently starting for Bournemouth. like the thought of Alvarez , would be pricey tho

Arsenal’s Striker Situation Heading into the Summer With uncertainty surrounding the availability and futures of Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus, Arsenal’s striker situation is set to be a key discussion point this summer. Havertz: Availability, Wages, and the Contract Question Havertz hasn’t completed a full 90 minutes in almost a year and is entering the final two years of his contract. He’s also on superstar wages (£290k per week). Given the ongoing concerns over his availability and current physical level, it’s hard to see Berta renewing his contract on those terms. A renewal would likely require a significant reassessment of both his role and wage structure. Jesus: Exit Feels Inevitable Jesus looks increasingly likely to leave in the summer. The club isn’t prepared to offer him a new contract, and the fact he’s recently appointed a new agent only reinforces the sense that an exit is being lined up. How Do Arsenal Replace Them? With Gyökeres already at the club to cover the striker role in the short to medium term, Arsenal’s next striker signing should be about raising the ceiling long term — not short-term cover. Merino’s Role Changes the Equation Merino has effectively absorbed many of Havertz’s functions: •Target man for aerial balls •Second-striker qualities •Strong off-ball presence •More efficient finishing In many ways, he has already replaced Havertz’s role within the system. The Profile Arsenal Should Target It makes far more sense for Arsenal to replace or upgrade on Jesus’ profile — a false 9 / second striker with: •Better ball striking •Superior finishing •Strong link play •Retention of Jesus’ best off-ball and technical attributes The Ideal Candidates There are only a few players who truly fit this mould: •Julián Álvarez — the perfect profile if financially viable •Eli Junior Kroupi — a more affordable alternative with a similar skill set Both represent clear upgrades on Jesus in terms of finishing and ball striking, while still retaining many of the attributes Arsenal value in that role.

@charles_watts professional win even if WHU didn't offer much. Gyokeres looked tired but he had no pre season and has played 3 games in one week, maybe need to make sure we protect him where possible
