The Slugger award is given to the player that has been someone we can count on in the batter's box. This player has excelled at the plate with a batting average of .453 an OPS of 1.091. 29 hits, 23 runs, 8 RBI’s, and only 10 strikeouts.

The Leadership Award is given to the player who has shown outstanding leadership. In his young career, he has already grown from a lead by example guy, to a more vocal and directly involved leader. He shows accountability, a positive mindset, and great effort daily.

The Mr. Hustle award is given to the player who has put extra effort in all season long. He has done whatever it takes to make sure he can get to practice so he can get his reps in. He will do anything asked of him and put his body on the line for his teammates on the field.

The K-Him award is given to the player who has been someone we can rely on on the mound. He has pushed himself hard to grow in his role as a pitcher and he has become a pitcher that we can count on to back others up. His commitment brought him to 2 Wins and 1 Save on the season.

The Level Up Award is given to the player who has shown the most growth on and off the field. He shows up early and doesn’t hesitate to take some extra reps. He has grown to be ultra-reliable in the field and has shown massive improvements in the batter box.

Sampson Baseball Gold Glove Award! This award is given to the player who has displayed elite-level defense on the field. You can always look for a great play to be made when the ball is hit his way. He locked down LF and created many clutch plays when the team needed them most.

Sampson falls in a close one in game 2 vs SFW. Hard Hat Player of the Game: Alex Heffelfinger with a great effort on the mound. All around, super proud of how our guys competed and grinded two close ones out in the heat! Back it tomorrow in day 2 of Capital City Splash.
