Finally a new pfp lmao I c*mmed this from @/antiv3nomfgc with the starting point of "what if HC stole Vash's coat" The black outer coat that I'm using for my pfp is more reminiscent of HC's jacket while the full red coat is going on a new controller im getting :3

@Void_Sovereign It probably still would be broken in terms of strength but a better starting point for fixing steady aim would be to just kill double portal shot stuff. The only thing it was used for was either the infinite or bad. If he could only do 1 portal shot per stance it'd make sense.

@SamsonFGC I don’t understand their idea behind the portal changes. It was 1 sequence that really toxic with steady aim>2 portal> 8 portal. Instead of adjusting the portals, they just shot everything about steady aim even up close pressure with it.

The only fun that's gonna be left in HC's kit is going to be going to a local and throwing curse 50 times against a character that has 0 options to deal with the move and laughing like beavis or butthead while sitting within physical striking distance of my opponent.

@Void_Sovereign At the ready and curse are still two of the most broken moves in the game, especially in conjunction. His playstyle is just going to shift to representing those options instead of the infinite.

@SamsonFGC You mean the portals? You think he’ll still be top tier? He seemed kind of mid outside of the zoning this patch and they seem to have nerfed it a lot, depending on focus change numbers.

He's probably still top tier but I don't think I'm going back to HC this patch because he's still got 5 billion cringe mechanics and no juice on any of his hits.

Also they nerfed his routing AGAIN because they REALLY don't want any chance of the zoner to be able to zone even though they removed the mechanic that made the problematic situation possible. AND HE'S STILL GOING TO BE TOP TIER.

Also once again instead of trying to wrangle an interesting mechanic into balance they've completely removed it from the character.

Like there ARE games that do stuff with it thats kinda interesting but "Unlike the caste system, which is bad because it's an unjust hierarchy, I will replace it with a hierarchy of people judged by an objective metric!!!" villains having defenders has soured the concept for me

Its awesome how Xenogears refutes the whole "Hierarchy of strength/competence" villain motivation by just going "That's fucking stupid and doesn't solve the problem" at its introduction instead of jerking itself off for presenting of such a morally complex character to you.
