@Gemstonegynoid @antdude92 No. Gal guardians is an extension of the Gal Gun universe so it's recommended you play Gal Gun first before guardians. Neither series is essential for the other so if you want to play guardians first go ahead.

You guys want some culture on your Nintendo Switch? Well, luckily, I have the slightly discounted VGP link for you! Gal Guardians are pretty solid Metroidvania's with some fanservice. Gal*Gun are certainly video game software. Check them out~ videogamesplus.ca/CvdizR

Both series are great and worth your time, although if gal gun is too off-putting, then just go with Gal guardians. You won't be missing too much context doing that.

If you are not willing to put that aside you can see the same charming dialogue and story in gal guardians, with metriodvania gameplay. While you wont understand all aspects of the game, its still a good time.

Ladies and gentlemen and everyone inbetween, allow me to share my 2 cents on this series to help you make a more informed decision. I have played both series and they are both fun in there own right. With Gal Gun it is very off-putting and I do understand not wanting to try it.
