मनमोहन सिंह ने 10 सालों ने 49 देशों की 71 विदेश यात्राएँ की थी जिसका खर्च 795 करोड़ का आया था और नरेंद्र मोदी जी ने 76 देशों की 96 विदेश यात्राएँ की जिसका खर्च 840 करोड़ के आस पास आया है इसे मनमोहन के कार्यकाल की तुलना करे तो कई गुना कम खर्च आया है। अब सवाल ये है की इन यात्राओं में खर्च करके आउटपुट क्या आया ? > मनमोहन के वक़्त 10 साल में केवल 304 बिलियन डॉलर का फ़ोरेन डायरेक्ट इन्वेंस्टमेंट आया। > मोदी जी के काल में अब तक 667 बिलियन डॉलर का फ़ॉरेन डायरेक्ट इन्वेस्टमेंट आया है। अब ये निर्देश जैसी आरक्षण छाप को ये आंकड़े नहीं पता होंगे क्योकि ये 33% वाले है।

@sabeer My daughter could not get OCI for her children even after so many years as on line app hardly works. Went to Embassy but it refused to entertain on physical grounds. She has not been able to even change her address in her OCI.

I was speaking to my friend this morning who voted in the last elections. He said that when he went to vote, he was confused about whom exactly he was voting for, and even found the EVM process complicated. If my own experience with the OCI online application process - which took me 10 tries to get right - is any indication of how user-friendly systems are, I suspect many people in voting booths may also have been confused.

@UPSC_EDU What more one can expect from uneducated leaders? There should be minimum qualifications to hold public office for everyone like minimum age.

Golden week जापान का सबसे बड़ा Holiday season है, जो अप्रैल के अंत से मई के पहले हफ्ते तक चलता है। इसी दौरान किरन और मेरा भी जापान जाना हुआ। जैसे हमारे यहाँ त्यौहारों का माहौल होता है, वैसे ही पूरा जापान छुट्टियों और खुशियों में डूबा था। वहां बहुत से नए लोग और अनुभव भी मिले। Tokyo में हम बुद्ध मॉनेस्ट्री गए और वहाँ जाकर गर्व हुआ कि बुद्ध को सदियों पहले हमारे बिहार की ही धरती पर ही ज्ञानप्राप्ति हुई थी, और उनकी शिक्षाएं आज भी पूरी दुनिया में मानी जाती हैं। बिहार से निकली शांति और करुणा की गूंज आज जापान के कोने-कोने में बसी है। जब भी मैं किसी देश की यात्रा पर जाता हूँ, मुझे हर हज़ार लोगों में 2-4 भारतीय ज़रूर मिलते हैं। दुनिया के हर कोने में भारतीयों की बढ़ती मौजूदगी हमारी बढ़ती ताकत का सबूत है। मैंने सुना कि जापान में manpower की कमी है, इसलिए बहुत सारे भारतीय वहां काम करने जा रहे हैं। Tokyo में एक बड़े प्यारे सज्जन से भी मुलाकात हुई जो जापान रोज़गार की खोज में आए, खूब मेहनत की, वहीं बस गए और फिर अपनी फैमिली को भी बुला लिया। हम भारतीय जहाँ भी जाते हैं, मेहनत और लगन से अपनी जगह बना ही लेते हैं। बातों–बातों में ये भी पता चला कि जापान में भी बहुत से दोस्त मुझे social media पर फॉलो करते हैं, मेरे विचारों को पढ़ते हैं। मुझे अंदाज़ा भी नहीं था कि social media ने मुझे जो परिवार दिया वो अब इतना बड़ा हो चुका है।

@DealsDhamaka Our ACs similar make are working till today in Delhi even after 30 years. We too, brought them under transfer of residence from Middle East in 1996. Excellent cooling. No complaints ever.

Dad bought this AC in 2010 O'General imported from the Middle East. 16 years and not a single problem to date... It's installed in my hometown in AP where temperatures are really high 🥵 In the last 8 years, after I started earning - I purchased 3 ACs for our home in Pune. 2 have severe problems ... VOLTAS gone in 2nd year, no service, pathetic experience, lost 14K for gas, PCB charges and Finally left it to trash. Then Daikin in 2024 - which working fine to date, Last year bought our 2nd Daikin AC - which is giving problems already, last week PCB gone and replaced, today again gone. Is it low quality of products over time ? Is it better quality when imported ? Is it location ? Is it manufactrer ? I am not sure, and once AC stops working service is damn expensive. P.S. we have bluestar (8-9 years old at hometown which is working fine and Lloyd 1 year old which is fine)

@Samudra3683 @Akshat_World Then don't blame investment. Money and friendship never go together. If you are an NRI keep money in original currency, with the rate Rupee is sliding, holding Forex is itself good investment.

An average NRI has a per capita income 7-8 times that of an average Indian. India's #1 strength is its hard working, intelligent labour force. Especially NRIs. They move countries & build a life from scratch in a foreign land. Dealing through numerous challenges along the way. They are naturally inclined to invest in India. Give them a sensible reason. Don't give talks on high GDP growth, stop buying gold, stop using Petrol, stop traveling. If this is an economic plan, then we better shut down a few ministries and save a few 100 crores. On the one hand we ask them to fill 7 forms to withdraw their own money. On the other, we want their deposits by pushing nationalism. See the problem? Understand that we are dealing with decently educated savvy folks, who can see through the crap. Don't treat them like brain-washed fools. Build a sensible plan, money will follow.

Since he was a close friend we believed him. He must have got very good commission from SBI Life. He didn’t even help in getting maturity proceeds.
