It's now been 4 years since I started animating on this channel, and over half a year since I made this my full time job. From what began as a NNN gone horribly wrong Scheherazade 1001 Nights style, I've been able to make art that I'm very proud of, and build a fanbase that is in it for the character of my work rather than the special effects (but I want to work on that too). I don't speak about myself too much outside of my art and marketing, but it still baffles me that I managed to get this far and that I get to have this privilege. I came from an art profile of less than 300 followers. I had 0 spread. It's bizarre. It feels like I'm not supposed to have this life where I can just animate and write and take my time. My puritan upbringing didn't prepare me for this. It feels like everything will fall apart if I'm not working for a single second, if my output falters for any amount of time. But it keeps working out. My art keeps getting better, folks like me more, I have more hours in the day to be human. I have the time to go to my coffee shop and write novels. I haven't had that kind of freedom in years. Will my eventual publications be popular too? Eh, probably not, but working on them brings me joy, and I hope in the coming years someone, even a few people, will enjoy them too. This business is the biggest thing I've ever made in my life so far. Is it all Rule34? Yes. Is it real art? I think so. Shouldn't you be doing something else with your life? I think that's the wrong question. The real question is if my work is meaningful, and based on people's reactions, my animations are very entertaining. I think that's more than good enough. I guess what I'm trying to say is this. I'm grateful for everything that has gotten me to this place, to everyone who has patronized me over the years, and to you. Thank you, lads.
