The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is a by product of waste that hasn't be disposed of correctly. It is 1.6m Km2 and around 80,000T! This is a disgrace, we must be better with our rubbish!

@JaydenGodwin99 That is an excellent activity I can use in my unit on #SDG14 as students can use plastic they collect from the community to make sculptures and then sell them to donate money to organisations like Plastic Free Port Stephens.

@MaddyCampbell97 Yeah, picture books are a great asset for the classroom. Picture books can be used in any stage and in multiple ways throughout a unit such as to access background knowledge, to create art on the topic or be used as stimuli for creative writing.
