Well, #UNC loses — the result I expected, ultimately (had VCU in my bracket), but the *way* it happened is going to have some local folks talking. Absolutely no school in the Triangle covered themselves in glory the last few days.

Simultaneously, to include them is a slap in the face to multiple European associations that stare down the Russian threat constantly, especially Finland. Considering half of the tournament is played in Europe, something would have to change for that to be acceptable

Russia should be among the 8 teams. Undoubtedly. Russian players decorate the NHL with their skill and commitment. To deny them is a slap in the face to players Nikita Kucherov who dedicate their lives to improving their skill level--at their benefit, yes--and thus enhances the entertainment value of the sport. Be above the sanctimonious and filth-muck of politics and politicians--the dregs of the earth. We are watching a hockey tournament.

It’s been exactly 3 months since the #Sabres fired General Manager Kevyn Adams. It’s insane how Adams has gone from a laughing stock to a guy who might actually get another GM job in just the span of 3 months *while he wasn’t even employed by a club.* Craziest #NHL storyline.
