@zelimir__ boring is right, but cloud won on defaults, not seamlessness nobody picks AWS each time, it's just where projects land by default. Real test for tapedrive does it become someone's default without them ever thinking decentralized.

@foxytanuki depends does keeping it spark joy, or just guilt about the money spent on it? that's usually the real test.

@umang_veerma @cleopetrafun @solana Turn any hot take into a tradable position" is a clean way to make macro takes actually actionable. Given your track record, curious on the exclusive access window building scarcity, or stress-testing before wider rollout?

today, I'm introducing Thesis Index by @cleopetrafun a new trading instrument I created to bet on the hot takes & macro theses on @solana exclusive access for the next 2 weeks:

@tinyprojectsdev Curious how the 27% who stayed on Stripe are split jurisdictions where USDC off-ramping is still clunky, or just habit? That gap is probably where the next unlock is, not the onboarding flow.

First post in 4 years I’ve been busy bootstrapping PromptBase to 450k+ users But I was burning $9,400/mo in opaque Stripe fees for seller payouts So today I’m launching Zoneless: an open-source clone of Stripe Connect using USDC Identical API, except payouts cost $0.002 I’ve been dogfooding it on PromptBase for 3 months: - 2,200+ sellers onboarded - 1,400+ payouts completed - $9.4k/mo in Stripe fees → ~$5/mo - 73% of sellers chose Zoneless over Stripe

@Woah_Vickyy This is a great example of why prediction market infra needs its own risk tooling rather than borrowing traditional finance models as-is. Curious how much manual judgment still goes into picking h*, or is that now fully systematic across your factor set?

One of the hardest parts of finding covariance in prediction markets is that markets rarely line up. Different start/end times, rarely on the same tick, etc. That breaks naive correlation: Sample too fine and you get nothing (the epps effect), but sample too broadly and you miss the co-movement. Take "fed cuts in September" vs "fed cuts in December." One inflation print moves both (clear correlation), but September is liquid and resolves in weeks while December is months out. These markets would almost never print on the same tick and could be missed by an algorithm even if correlation is logically obvious. A simple way we’ve been tackling this is by scaling each move by the vol it should've had over its gap (a one-tick move and a three-week jump become comparable), then picking the sampling rate off a variance-signature curve. Optimize the point, h*, to be coarse enough to strip noise, yet at the thinnest possible to preserve signal. Pair-by-pair mess then rolls up into a handful of common factors, instead of hundreds of millions of correlations we'd never trust one at a time. x.com/Woah_Vickyy/st…

The way you exit a company is so important I’ve seen so many burn bridges on the exit but you will never know where life will take you A clean respectful exit goes a long way Not something that is last minute and where you sound like a moron Personally, on exits I value in keeping the connection and relationship good. You may do things in the future again or better, help each other out.

@Bryan__Reed Cold phone instead of hot phone" is the standout line here most apps add features and let performance quietly rot. Curious what the biggest lever was: rendering, data polling, or something else?

@legitamit Makes sense for something like Poof where the AI is writing real onchain code, the difference between "completes the task" and "understands the cost of how" isn't academic, it's the whole reliability story.

after days of testing, Fable is WAY better than SOL. You can't blindly trust gpt 5.6 SOL like you can with fable. If you don't constrain SOL's prompt well, it will take all possible shortcuts and break things to get what you asked for done, at the expense of your whole repo
