I have officially picked up my nomination and expression of interest forms, taking a definitive step forward in my aspiration to serve as Governor of Lagos State on the platform of our great party, the APC. This moment is bigger than a political process. It is a personal commitment to purposeful leadership, inclusive governance, and the kind of progress that every Lagosian can feel and point to. My resolve is rooted in service, anchored in a clear vision, and driven by one conviction; that Lagos deserves development which reaches every community, creates real opportunities for its people, and leaves no one behind. I begin this journey with humility, courage, and complete faith in God and in the good people of Lagos. Together, we are building something this state will be proud of. I don't think our president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is giving in to what they are doing. What they are just trying to do is to coerce him into taking a decision, and I don't think that decision will stand. - Samuel Ajose, Lagos APC governorship aspirant, speaking on the GAC adoption of Obafemi Hamzat as Lagos APC consensus 2027 governorship candidate. #PoliticsToday

When leadership is genuine, it is first revealed in the lives it transforms. Through the Samuel Ajose Foundation’s education sponsorship for Miss Makotode Semande, I continue to demonstrate that my commitment to Lagos is not anchored on mere promises but on deliberate action, timely intervention, and measurable investment in human potential. As I continue this journey toward serving Lagos, I remain focused on practical impact that speaks for itself because leadership at its core must be proven in service long before it is affirmed. At a time when conversations about the future of leadership are becoming more urgent, this moment stands as a quiet but powerful reminder that those most prepared to lead are often already shaping lives long before the opportunity to lead arrives. I visited the Alimosho Women Development Center and saw resilience at work in its purest form. The talent, discipline and determination in that space reaffirm a simple truth, when women are properly supported, they do not only progress, they lift entire communities with them. With the mandate of Lagosians, my commitment is clear; expand access to opportunity, strengthen support systems and ensure more women are equipped to thrive and lead. Because when Lagos women rise, Lagos rises. Irorun Ipinle Eko 2027 #SMAGOLD #SAMUELMAWUYONAJOSE #LOVINGLAGOSFORWARD #LAGOS2027

A productive consultation with His Excellency, Dr. Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, OFR, former Governor of Kano State, immediate past National Chairman of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and currently the Board Chairman of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), on how we can continue to advance our nation in line with the Renewed Hope agenda of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Our conversation centred on governance, party leadership, and the urgent need to strengthen public trust through systems that deliver real, measurable impact. Engaging seasoned leaders like His Excellency remains critical as we refine a clearer, people-centred vision for Lagos and beyond. We also reflected on the pathway to a strong and decisive victory in 2027 at both national and state levels, as I continue my consultations and engagements towards the governorship ticket of our great party. One thing remains clear from every engagement: a city of over 20 million people needs systems that work at scale. When leadership works, Lagos works; for everyone. 2027 cannot be left to chance. It will demand competence, trust, and a tested hand committed to inclusive development. Irorun Ipinle Eko 2027. #SMAGOLD #SAMUELMAWUYONAJOSE #LOVINGLAGOSFORWARD #LAGOS2027

Education is the greatest equaliser, and I live that truth with passion and purpose. Through the SMA Foundation, I am already delivering on this commitment. We have provided free GCE forms worth over ₦10.8 million to 400 indigent students in Lagos, alongside scholarships from primary to tertiary level, creating real opportunities for every determined young person to learn and grow. I believe no child in Lagos should be left behind in the pursuit of knowledge. Christabel is one of many whose dreams are now within reach, and her story is a reminder of what is possible when we act. I am not just speaking about change. I am investing in it today and building a future where every Lagosian has a fair chance to succeed. #SMAGOLD #SAMUELMAWUYONAJOSE #LOVINGLAGOSFORWARD #LAGOS2027

My advisory team and I had the honour of spending time with Alhaji Lateef Femi Okunnu, SAN, CON, a man whose life reflects service, discipline, and a deep commitment to Lagos. Moments like this are not just visits. They are reminders. That leadership is built on listening. That progress must be guided by wisdom. And that the Lagos we seek to build must stand on the shoulders of those who have carried it before us. As we continue to engage respected voices across the state, one thing remains clear. The future of Lagos will be shaped by thoughtful conversations, shared values, and a sincere commitment to the people. We move forward, learning, listening, and building with purpose. #SMAGOLD #SAMUELMAWUYONAJOSE #LOVINGLAGOSFORWARD #LAGOS2027

My advisory team and I held a strategic session with Oba AbdulRasaq Akanni Musa, the Orijeru of Igbooye Kingdom (Eredo LCDA, Epe Division). This visit is part of our sustained consultations across all five divisions of Lagos to engage traditional institutions and community leaders. Building a Lagos that works for everyone starts with listening, learning, and ensuring our plans are shaped by the lived experiences of our people. -SMA #SMAGOLD #SAMUELMAWUYONAJOSE #LOVINGLAGOSFORWARD #LAGOS2027

For me, leadership is not defined by promises, but by compassion in action, sincere service, and a visible commitment to people’s progress. Through the Samuel Ajose Foundation, my mission has remained consistent: to restore hope, uplift lives, and create real pathways of opportunity for ordinary families. One of the clearest expressions of this commitment is the education and empowerment of the girl child. Grace Ogidan’s story is proof of what happens when a young girl is given the support to learn, dream, and rise into higher education. Her achievement goes beyond personal success; it strengthens her family and expands hope within her community. This is the standard of humane, people-centred leadership I stand for, and the future I am committed to building for Lagos. - SMA #SMAGOLD #SAMUELMAWUYONAJOSE #LOVINGLAGOSFORWARD #LAGOS2027

My engagements with party leadership and elders have been continuous, rooted in listening, learning, and strengthening alignment. On April 13, my advisory team and I met with Hon. Monsuru Alao Owolabi Batola, former Member of the House of Representatives, Apex Leader for Mandate, and Apex Leader for Mainland, drawing from his depth of experience and insight on Lagos governance. This forms part of a broader series of sustained engagements across the state, reflecting a deliberate commitment to consistent dialogue with leadership structures. The work continues. -SM #SMAGOLD #SAMUELMAWUYONAJOSE #LOVINGLAGOSFORWARD #LAGOS2027

I believe Lagos can work better for all of us with stronger infrastructure, thriving markets and MSMEs, accessible healthcare, empowered youth, safer communities, and a culture and tourism sector we can all be proud of. My commitment is simple: to lead with vision, serve with purpose, and deliver real IMPACT where it matters most in our people's lives. This vision is personal to me; better roads, stronger support for businesses, quality healthcare, safer neighborhoods, and more opportunities for every family to thrive. Let's love Lagos forward together. #SMAGOLD #SAMUELMAWUYONAJOSE #LOVINGLAGOSFORWARD #LAGOS2027

Everywhere I go in Lagos, I see ambition. In Yaba, in Ikeja, on the Island, in Badagry, I meet young people building businesses, learning skills and creating opportunities for themselves. Talent has never been our problem. The real question is how we build systems that support their drive. -SM #SamuelMawuyonAjose #SMAGold

Lagos is entering a new chapter. The conversations across our communities show that people are hopeful, but they are also asking important questions about the future. Jobs. Opportunity. Infrastructure. Safety. Growth. These are not abstract ideas. They are everyday realities. -SM #SamuelMawuyonAjose #SMAGold
