A charity gala evening at St Mary's Church, Astbury, tomorrow (Saturday) featuring tenor Russell Watson, has been postponed due to the singer being unwell. The concert, in aid of church funds, will now be staged on Friday 23rd December at 7.30pm instead.

Users of the M6 are advised to allow extra time this morning due to overrunning roadworks. Overnight resurfacing from J20 (Lymm) to J21 (Woolston) has over-run and will be finished by 8am instead of 5am. Allow extra time for journeys or consider alternative routes.
