I believe this invitation is an acknowledgment of the value @magisteriumai, @VulgateAI, and the @buildersaiforum have been delivering to persons and organizations around the world. Without the Longbeard team and the support of so many of you we would not have made it this far. Grateful to all of you and I renew our commitment to continuing the work of digitizing the written patrimony of the Church and ensuring it’s available to everyone in the world. It was a privilege and a lot of fun to deliver a couple of keynotes on the state of AI and its pastoral implications for the Church to the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales at their spring meeting at Villa Palazzola, outside Rome. The bishops were very engaged, and it was one of the most interesting interactive sessions I’ve had. The Church is booming in England and Wales, and I can attest that the bishops are thoroughly considering the pastoral implications of AI on their flocks. Interesting days ahead! Refreshing to see a magazine like @Deseret covering the growth of faith AI. I’m grateful they took an interest in our digitization work in Rome. Technically, our Alexandria Digitization Hub is located in offices of the Pontifical Oriental Institute, although I can understand the confusion as they’re in the Russicum. I am now seriously inquiring Catholicism, Orthodoxy, or High-Church Protestantism after this whole fiasco. Modern evangelicalism is compromised & detached from apostolic faith, swapped for subjective feel-good fluff instead of Scripture-rooted truth & historic Church tradition.
