After the terrible year for butterflies and bees last year, it was a huge relief to see our first Marbled White since 2023. I think it was 'brand' new! The flower meadows are alive today with hundreds of different #butterflies #flowers #flowermeadow #cornwall

Beware anyone dealing with @nationalgrid, cutting trees back from power lines. They have just wantonly destroyed essential May trees, et al, on my boundary. They didn't bother to check the boundary ownership. Make sure any sub-contractor is supervised.

It's only taken five years and we have two orchid species in the #flowermeadows. The Southern Marsh #orchid and new arrival, the Common Spotted orchid. Definitely not common in our eyes @VisitTamar #Cornwall #Devon.

We have the most #fabulous hatch of Common Blue #butterflies on the steep slope of the Lower #Flower #Meadow. They thrive on Common Bird's-foot-trefoil, Greater Bird's-foot-trefoil, White Clover and Lesser Trefoil, of which we have plenty.

Wow! The Actinidia kolomikta is looking the best it's ever looked because the #Spring weather has been the #best it's ever been! What a #joy! The first time I ever saw this plant it was covering the whole building face of @The @RHSWisley #Surrey, when I was a child.

Look what I found in Corin's #flower #meadow this afternoon. Last seen in 2022 in May and only one. Apparently, they do not set seeds but now we have two @VisitTamar #Cornwall. So happy!
