R.I.P. Firefighter Micheal Altman🕊️🕯️ 32-yr-old Michael Altman has been identified as the CFD Firefighter EMT who died during a fire in Rogers Park yesterday. Michael would’ve made 2 years on the job in May. His life & courageous call of duty will be honored today 🫡🧑‍🚒🚒🚨 Yesterday, Michael & his Engine Company 47, joined other CFD Engine Companies in battling a 2-11 alarm fire on Clark & Northshore, in the Rogers Park Neighborhood. During the battle, Michael was clearing out the building searching for anyone trapped inside, when the first floor collapsed. Michael fell through and was critically injured & severely burned. He was rushed to Stroger Hospital 🏥 where he was placed in ICU. A few hours later, he sadly succumbed from his injuries 💔 THANK YOU MICHAEL AND THE Chicago Fire Dept. FOR YOUR SERVICES. WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU❤️🚒🚑🚨 We send our sincere condolences & prayers to his family, Engine Company 47, and the entire Chicago Fire Department.

Please help me honor Chief Warrant Officer Michael Stephen Duskin, 42, of Orange Park, Fla. He died Oct. 23, 2012 of wounds received from small arms fire in Afghanistan. This was his second deployment to Afghanistan in that position. He is survived by his wife and three children. Duskin's military awards and decorations include 2 Bronze Star Medals and the Purple Heart.
