Big news for our community! 📬🎉 After nearly 20 years of advocacy, Sandy Springs is officially recognized as the default mailing city name for most local ZIP—with the exception of 30092. “As we celebrated 20 years of incorporation, gaining this recognition from USPS is a meaningful milestone for our community,” said Mayor Rusty Paul. Updates to the USPS system will roll out over the next few weeks.

We’re paving as part of the Mount Vernon Highway Project. Boylston Drive will be closed with a detour in place today, March 5, and tomorrow, March 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thank you for your patience!

Starting today, February 23, Lake Forrest Drive will have a temporary road closure from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for approximately 7–8 days, with a detour in place (see below). This work is part of our slope stabilization and monitoring project, and these improvements will help keep our roads and community safer for everyone. We appreciate your patience!

Due to Winter Storm Fern’s impact, the City of Sandy Springs will close its administrative offices at City Hall on Monday, January 26, 2026.
