I'm thinking about doing a little series on active staff in cycling with a history of doping. Just to bring some of these names out into the open, so they can't keep hiding in the buses and follow cars. It's not just the riders. It's the whole structure that is rotten. Why is this allowed to continue? Because people with contacts and an understanding of the system are still involved in shaping that very system. Would it be worth the time? #cyclingnews #TDF2025 #doping

If Vingo is boring for not riding like the sport's biggest physiological outlier, then your standard is basically "be Pogacar". Not a serious analysis... and insulting to the peloton!

@Tim_Scribner @lucasaganronald 1/2 Pogacar is not a normal benchmark; he is a historical outlier with one of the most abnormal performance profiles cycling has ever seen. Calling Vingegaard boring for not racing like him is basically calling the entire peloton boring.

I never in my life would have thought I’d experience a moment like this firsthand, and it’s a really strange feeling. There are tons of problems, and there will be tons more down the road; with a new government, they won’t just disappear overnight - but starting from a clean slate, we can build something new, something better, something European. I’ve already had a cider; it’s going to be hard to focus on anything bike-related here tomorrow, even though there’s still so much to write about today’s Paris-Roubaix... :)

@livigrindset There was never any "rape poem". That's just a tabloid label stuck on a prose passage in The Imperfect Man. Leth himself later said it was performative and that he regretted writing it. It just shows how easily you get swept up in a ready-made outrage narrative. Stop the gossip.
