It will be an awesome way to bring these devices back to life. I am sure lots of people at Apple would have said NO to this for multiple reasons including all the new things Apple needs to develop but like the original record player lives on, these devices also want to come alive

but they don’t work as the software is outdated. It will be great if Apple can just make the basic functionality software available like listening to music or making a phone call, for these millions of Apple devices which are waiting to reconnect back with us
