I used to work in television in the Tallahassee market about 23 years ago. I helped produce the Bobby Bowden call-in show. He was always so nice. I was told by a local producer in Tallahassee that he produced a documentary about the 'Noles where he followed the team and Coach Bowden everywhere all season. The first cut of the documentary had Coach cussing four or five times. I was told that Coach asked the producer: "Did I cuss that much?" The guy told him well, we got you cussing nine times this season (I forget the number but it was less than ten). Coach said "Well then why are there four of 'em in your piece - makes it look like I cuss all the time." He cared very much about his faith, family, and players. I think the producer said the final cut of the documentary had two or three cuss words in it. I never saw the doc, so it could be a story he told me, but it lines up with my experience with Coach Bowden.
