in Wilmington this afternoon at the Carolina Coast Conference T&F championship. Topsail junior Rico Mabberley currently leads the state in shot put, throwing 62-10. He just threw the best discus today of 152 feet, but it didn’t count due to a foul. This is an earlier throw.

Topsail junior Rico Mabberley throws 61 feet to win the Carolina Coast Conference title. He didn’t quite reach his state-leading 62-10 mark he achieved earlier this year (6th all time in NC), but still cleared the landing sector on each of his final throws

Rico reached his goal of throwing 50’ as a sophomore and Broke the School Record with a monster throw 52’+ followed by a bigger throw of 53’9”. He currently holds the position of top ranked Sophomore in North Carolina. #keepgrinding #shotput
