it's horrible that, even with tech company insurance, a procedure people need to not be considered legally/medically blind can put someone in a situation where they don't have money to eat.
I'm fortunate that it isn't as big of a deal now but jfc we need universal healthcare

was budgeting for my upcoming surgery & looking at the cost of it when I did it before in 2019 & MAN that $500 I had to pay back then felt debilitating.
I remember giving my card details over the phone knowing I was going to have $4 left in my bank account after it cleared...
