@ColliePip I kept my special girl Miffy’s Equafleece, she went to the 🌈 Bridge in 2011 but I still hold it and hug it now again to smell her and feel extra close. It helps, until we’re reunited 🐶🐾❤️🥰 Xx

We were up a mountain in the dark this morning to catch the sunrise (Pippin’s daytime of day). We took Pipodile and I think I cried the whole way 🐾💔

@ColliePip @Kesthecollie Beautiful memories of a very special, gorgeous boy. I’ve cried many tears for him as I have before for others & the ones I’ve let fly 🌈🪽 It hurts & never fully goes but healing ❤️‍🩹 comes, with memories, time & often a new precious soul sent by those passed. Big hugs 🐶🐾❤️

Dearest friends.. last night I took my last great adventure over the rainbow bridge 🌈💔🐾 I was at peace at the end and went to sleep lying in mum’s arms whilst she gave me the biggest hugs.

Mum says it’s an emotional roller coaster but I had a more comfortable night. I also ate all my medicine like a good boy 🐾❤️‍🩹 my leg dressing needs changing more frequently but I’m quite happy and playful today. Long may it continue and the drugs start helping my swelling ❤️‍🩹🐾🍀

Mum had to take me back to hospital yesterday and I had my chest drained. There was 1 lt of fluid 😢 after talking to the vet, we are trying another drug for my PLE (which is causing me to have fluid build up and some breathing problems). Hoping this drug will help ❤️‍🩹🐾

Back from the vet hospital. The vet is still very guarded about the long term prognosis because of my PLE as my albumin levels are very low… BUT he was pleased with the affect that lowering the steroid dose has had on my open leg wound. It is looking better.

I’m feeling a bit under the weather again today. I’m sleeping a lot. Mum is still worried about the dressing and thinks my foot is a bit swollen again. She has spoken to the vet plus sent photos, and they have called me in to see them tomorrow ❤️‍🩹🐾

As mum suspected, I was having a flare up of PLE the day before my visit 😞 that means my albumin levels were still low. However the vets think I need to decrease my dose regardless or my leg won’t heal. Mum is worried but I tell her I’m fighting hard ❤️‍🩹🐾

We’ve been back to hospital today to check my wound. The flesh is looking healthy but it hasn’t closed much. The vet said that’s because of the steroids. Ideally I need to stop them so they took more bloods to check my Albumin levels. Hopefully we will hear back on those tomorrow

Friends! I’m home 🤩❤️‍🩹 the vet said I’m a brave boy and have been the perfect patient- my leg is going to take a long time to heal. Mum has to change the top dressing every day and I’ll visit the vet twice a week for a full dressing change. Mum is obviously very happy

Pippin update : if nothing drastic occurs overnight Pippin comes home tomorrow 🥳❤️‍🩹🐾 the vet is happy with his progress and today is the best I have seen him, his usual playful self and wrestling with the Pipodile 🐊

Pippin update : spoke to his usual vet this morning. He hasn’t seen him since Thursday. He was very happy to see the improvements and said if he continues whilst they wean off the opioids he can come home tomorrow 🥳❤️‍🩹🐾

Pippin update: the surgeon said his operation went well and the tissue under the dead skin looks healthy enough. He will likely have an open wound for around 4 months because that’s how long he likely needs to stay on the steroids for. It won’t heal until he is off them

Pippin update: i was allowed to take Pip for a little walk around the grounds of the hospital today. It was so nice to see him a bit brighter and picking up sticks. Tomorrow he is having an operation to remove dying and dead skin from his hock (not showing photos) 😣
