South Carolina patriot shining light and shaking salt. Lots of salt.

@reddyforgov @fitsnews From the current page of Stephen Goldfinch, originally created as “Rep. Stephen Goldfinch,” but currently named “Stephen Goldfinch.” Further proof that changing the page name doesn’t “change it historically” as claimed.

So you thought you were following a nonprofit government watchdog group, @DOGE SC? Nay nay. You are now following a campaign for Governor, starring none other than the DOGE SC founder himself, Rom Reddy. How convenient for a newly filed candidate to suddenly have 34,000 followers overnight. Reddy’s run may not come as a complete surprise. But it is interesting that a candidate whose motto is “Time for Something Different” has a history of donating thousands of dollars to some of the very politicians who have had SC in a chokehold of the same old same old. SC Confidential took a closer look at those records. You can read the article here: sc-confidential.com/sc-statehouse/… Below you’ll also find Reddy’s response to the article, along with my reply. While questions may be uncomfortable to the less than transparent, as Rom once said, it’s our civic duty to continue asking them. And we will. Reddy or not.

I’m running for Governor to stop the weaponization of government and to return money and power to you, the citizen. This race comes down to two lanes. In one lane: Four career politicians. More than 50 years in government. The same system. The same promises. The same results. In the other lane: Just me. I’m not taking donations. I’m not seeking endorsements. I’ve bought companies, fixed them and sold them. I know how to get things done. This campaign belongs to the people, not the political ruling class. If you’re ready for something different, join us.

Congratulations to the principled patriots in the Lexington County GOP Executive Committee, who voted overwhelmingly to table a flawed resolution pushing restrictive candidate qualifications. 🔥 This proposal would have limited voters' freedom to choose their preferred Republican nominees and handed undue power to a small group of party insiders—undermining the very principles of open, grassroots Republicanism. Below is the full debate from start to finish. It was a model of good-faith discussion: lively, respectful, and substantive. In the end, the Lexington EC made the overwhelmingly common-sense decision—to shelve a bad idea and protect voter choice. Well done, Lexington Republicans. This is how the party should operate: transparent debate leading to decisions that empower the people, not gatekeepers.

Take a listen… SC Confidential’s Sarah Grace Allen @SarahGAllenSC joined @CharlieOnAir to discuss closing our primaries and the Republican establishment’s lack of transparency on the bills Sarah Grace broke some news… State Rep. Mike Burns is expected to file a new closed primary bill today! audacy.com/podcast/the-ch…
