In memory of Serena's Song ❤️ 1992-2026 A champion on the racetrack and forever known as the Queen of @DenaliStud, the legendary Serena's Song passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 11 at the farm where she spent her entire post-racetrack career. She was 34. The 3-year-old filly champion in 1995 and the winner of 11 Grade I stakes races, Serena's Song was inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in 2002. A winner of 18 of 38 starts, with 17 grades stakes wins, her finest hour came when she defeated males to capture the 1995 GI Haskell Invitational Handicap. "It's not what we can see that counts, it's ultimately what we can't see that makes them great," said her trainer D. Wayne Lukas during Serena's Song's Hall of Fame induction speech. "It's the inside, the heart, and she had plenty of that. She was tough." As a broodmare, Serena's Song produced 12 foals, 11 that raced, and nine who have won. She was the dam of Sophisticat, a filly by Storm Cat, who won the GI Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot in 2002.  She also produced the Storm Cat colt Grand Reward, who won the GII Oaklawn Handicap in 2005. "We are incredibly blessed and honored that Bob and Beverly, and eventually their son Jeff chose to keep her with us and trust us with her care for three decades. She is and always will be the Queen of Denali Stud. I would like to think that Wayne had a stall ready for her up there, and that he, Bob, and Beverly welcomed her with open arms," said @CBandoroff. CATIRE BELLO (1989 Inland Voyager-Pink Screen, by Silent Screen) was a big deal in his native VEN. Their 1989 champion 2yo male, he came to the US to race toward the KY Derby. It didn't work out, he went home & won 6G1s all together, inc. the Venezuelan Triple Crown. 19-13-3-0

Goodbye, Doctor's Secret💙💛, aka Wizard, who died Feb. 21 at age 30 Perhaps some people have loved and taken care of their horses as much as @SarahKAndrew did her Wiz but, if so, I've not personally seen it. His life with his Sarah was a grand adventure. Will miss you, Wiz.

Wiz and Sarah To say Sarah takes care of her 28yo Doctor's Secret, aka Wiz (Secret Hello-Slewper Girl, by Slewpy) is...understatement. The delightfully long list of what Sarah does to insure Wiz's comfort/longevity/interest is ... War and Peace-like. 😂🌟👍 And so wonderful.❤️

Iron Honor 🏆 Winner of the GIII Gotham Stakes In Saturday's GIII Gotham Stakes at Aqueduct, IRON HONOR (Nyquist) battled with Crown the Buckeye until finally hitting the front in deep stretch and edging clear late to win by a length. The victory is good for 50 points on the Road to the Kentucky Derby. "You saw him wear down a stubborn foe today and it looked like he was interested in more distance on the gallop out, so I like seeing that," said trainer Chad Brown. Campaigned in partnership by St. Elias Stable, William H. Lawrence and Glassman Racing, Iron Honor is now a perfect 2-for-2 with $211,750 in career earnings. The colt was bred by Mike Freeny & Pat Freeny. Read more: thoroughbreddailynews.com/unbeaten-iron-…

Paradise ☀️ Winner of the Busher Stakes Coming off of a maiden-breaking score in her second career start at @GulfstreamPark last month, PARADISE (Gun Runner) took her talents to New York where she wore her rivals down close to home and cruised to the win in Saturday's Busher Stakes at Aqueduct. The @bradcoxracing trainee now sits fifth on the Road to the Kentucky Oaks leaderboard with 37.5 points. As for what's to come, her trainer indicated he may try stretching out in her next start, potentially in the two-turn GIII Gazelle Stakes at Aqueduct Apr. 4. Dawn Glory, from PR, with Sam Boulmetis and son Jim 10-31-66 Dawn Glory, a MD-bred son of First Landing, was quite accomplished in Puerto Rico before this pic was shot for the Garden State. He was unplaced that day but won quite a few stakes! Also ran in the KY Derby. 33-23-4-1

Adorabella 🌟 TDN's series The Producers continues with a feature on Adorabella (Ghostzapper), the dam of 2025 Champion Male Sprinter: Book'em Danno (Bucchero). "Physically, I couldn't pick her apart and she had that look in her eye that I always go for. I've been fortunate to have been around some good horses and she's one of them." Owned by Glenn Bennett's LC Racing, Adorabella is due in a month or so to Forte (@spendthriftfarm) and will go to Not This Time (@TMStallions) this spring. "Doesn't she deserve the chance to see if she can do it with a big fella? You've got to give her every opportunity and I feel like that's what Glenn is doing at this point." TDN's @JillWilliamsTDN checks in with Bennett and Walnut Green Bloodstock's Mark Reid. Photos by @SarahKAndrew. Read the story here: thoroughbreddailynews.com/the-producers-…

Carrumba's G3 Top Flight was the first win for Phipps Stable following the loss of Dinny just 4 days prior. Ogden's presence signified the family's continued dedication to racing, which has adapted but not vanished. @jose93_ortiz, who rode Golden Tempo in today's Lecomte, was up.

Thanks to your advocacy on behalf of the Thoroughbred Breeders' Association of New Jersey—and the horses you breed and own—the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee chose not to vote on Senate Bill 5028 yesterday, January 9, 2026, and removed it from the agenda. The bill may be reintroduced during the next legislative session, which begins next week. The Association remains committed to working collaboratively with the New Jersey Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association, Darby Development, and Monmouth Park to support and strengthen the future of New Jersey’s equine industry, and we will continue these efforts going forward.
