This is disgusting. The vast majority of those jobs in Hospitality are for young people 18-24.

The UK personal allowance has been frozen at £12,570 since 2021. Allowing for inflation alone, it should now be around £16,000+. This stealth tax is quietly pulling more of your earnings into the tax net. Fiscal drag in action. 😠

@MichaelRosenYes We took our 2 year old out for a surprise outing. We arrived and were told, yay it's a zoo. Asked her how she knew, she told us that it said zoo on the entrance sign. She could read well way before she started school.

@MichaelRosenYes I read to my 3 for hours and hours when they were preschool. So many different books, but also favourites which were read over and over. Used to follow the words with my finger as I read. They all learnt to read easily. Phonics is just a tool for working out unfamiliar words.

Govt laying down guidelines for under-5s and screentime but not for books time. Former Schools Minister Nick Gibb wasn't happy about pre-schoolers reading real books. He said they're 'confusing' 'cos children who are learning to read should only read phonics books.
