@Ryan35746878 @GMB @BootstrapCook Apologies Ryan,I hoped by mentioning the obesity crisis first would put in context type 2 diabetes. We don’t have much time on live tv to fully explain
English

@GMB @SarahSchenker @BootstrapCook I'm a type 1 diabetic and I think the that Dr Sarah Schenker needs to reword the fact that the NHS spends 10% of their budget on diabetes. If you are talking about obesity then this would only apply to type 2 diabetes, its not my fault my pancreas doesn't work!

‘Consumers need protection against corporate greed.’
'It's not the information that people are lacking, it's the money in their pockets.'
Dietician @SarahSchenker calls the government possibly scrapping the obesity strategy a ‘backwards step’ in a debate with @BootstrapCook.

@GMB @SarahSchenker @BootstrapCook Sarah Schenker lists herself as a doctor so why isn't she on the GMC register?
English

@outdoorperscrip @Dietitian_MH @GMB @Dietitians_MHG Everyone is quick to criticise but does anyone actually have any brilliant ideas to solve the obesity crisis? Or do we just let the food industry destroy our health? As tragic as eating disorders are they are not at epidemic levels
English

@Dietitian_MH @GMB @SarahSchenker @Dietitians_MHG I also think it' can be a risk to draw focus into overthinking things which can develop into eating disorders. Someone may have a good balanced diet already sees the warnings and starts to cut things out and falls down a slippery slope. Same issue with menu numbers.
English

On @GMB discussion with dietitian @SarahSchenker discussing having health warnings on high fat, high sugar snacks is going to be super challenging for those with #EatingDisorders adding to the shame of eating these foods, which will worsen symptoms @Dietitians_MHG #disappointed
