@ChrisRenwick @MichGwynn I used to go round to a friend's house after school specifically so we could watch MTV. I think I also owned at least one bootleg VHS of indie music videos taped off MTV ordered from a xeroxed catalogue I sent away for from the classifieds in Melody Maker.

@MichGwynn This is also bringing back memories of hours of watching MTV after school, with its weird but sometimes cosmopolitan mix of the “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” video on loop and callers from Berlin and Amsterdam having chats with the presenter because it was MTV Europe
