Because we prove that anyone can get sick or disabled, at any time, thru no fault of their own.

My friend is a support worker who supports young disabled people doing internships as a first step into employment, and again and again she sees them flourish in these roles, with glowing feedback, only to then be immediately rejected when they apply to move to a paid position.

Like for example, my doctor kindly filled out my form repeatedly for free.
Would $150 be nice? Sure. We're in legislated poverty after all.
But it's not right.
If I get the $150 I am giving it to someone to help with the costs of getting it filled out in the first place...

Whats even more messed up about this is doctors get to choose if they charge a fee for DTC forms and how much.
If it was over $150? Too bad, it's maxxed.
If you got the form done for free? Congrats, you just made $150.
...while people are out there not being able to afford it.

How to get the federal Canada Disability Benefit as a disabled person in destitution according to the federal government:
Step 1: go to medical practitioner & get them to fill out the DTC forms (OPE)
Issue: doctor shortages, no money for cost, doctors choose not to fill it out

Politicians will literally tweet shit from their gov paid for cellphones while riding in their gov paid for transport on the way to their gov paid for houses about how other politicians are spending gov funds while at the same time ignoring disabled people suffering in destitute.

Politicians will get a hefty salary with benefits.
Then on top of that allowances for food, travel and housing.
(The allowance for housing in Ontario alone is $30k/year)
And they have the audacity to say that vulnerable disabled people don't deserve to meet the poverty line.
