@taomo_zhou From my (2019) recollection, the Lu Xun Memorial Park was the same. Statutes of male literary figures. Ding Ling was hidden somewhere behind a big ol' plant, well outside the park, in a random street. Found her musing while on a walk.

We're still reminiscing about the 2-day Conference held last week in Hong Kong. The discussions, presentations, and networking were insightful and engaging. We're also grateful to have Evelyn Welch, VC of UoB, chair a keynote session for us.

I keep accidentally ending up in the right place at the right time, totally did not plan on being in Hong Kong for @viviankonghk's presentation but very glad I was able to be there in person. On my immediate to purchase list.

In my opinion, Americans are the best Anglophone people because, as far as I know, they are the only ones who can call the first floor the first floor.

“Racism is weak people bullying people who they think are weaker than them, so they can feel better. Make sure that you are safe and fight back." Peacefully exposing people to their own behaviour by saying "I saw what you did. Now everyone else will too." scmp.com/news/people-cu…

Japanese diplomat Chiune Sugihara was born on January 1, 1900 in Mino, Japan. Chiune and his wife Yukiko spent 18-20 hours a day writing/signing transit visas for 6,000+ Jews from July 31 - August 28, 1940. 🧵
