@clhubes Never been to, or thrown a "gifts" party in Brooklyn. Between the "don't bring a gift, but there will be plenty of wine for the adults" culture here, I am genuinely excited whenever we're invited to a kid birthday party.

I knew I wasn't going to try to exclusively breastfeed this time, but the whole time I was pregnant, I was trying to prepare myself that this change wouldn't make having an infant THAT much easier. But it's actually....SO. MUCH. EASIER. HOLY. SHIT.

i would love to spend a long time talking to parents who enjoy disney trips - i want to know exactly what that "fun" feeling consists of. i want to understand. what is contained within that experience of fun?

I'm so glad that this tweet is getting such a response, but I feel like the OP is being too generous with the "small contingent of writers." We're 12,000 people attending an expensive conference in a brand-new building that cost 2 billion dollars.

This tweet really adds another layer of embarrassment. Pumping facilities are like bathroom facilities--they're a NECESSITY when gathering a large group together. You can't just lose the one key and be like 🤷‍♀️

AWP was really fun and I'm so glad I went and I was also so happy to get out of there and finally dig into the QTs of That New Yorker Article.
