@CrossCountryUK I am currently stuck on a train just outside Leicester due to a vehicle hitting a bridge - your website says my train will now not be stopping at BHM - should i change at Leicester or Nuneaton?

@CrossCountryUK But they might have a connecting train which they could miss and the next train could be just as crowded. Has @CrossCountryUK trains made a request to the DfT to add more carriages? Has it been turned down?

@CrossCountryUK - please can you tell me why there is no longer any first class options for the Birmingham to Cambridge route?

@CrossCountryUK That is very sad - so two further questions please 1)will you be adding more coaches in the next 18months before the fleet is refurbished? What advice would you give to passengers who cannot stand for long distances?

@CrossCountryUK You say eventually- when do you expect this to be ? 6 months or longer ? 12 months or longer?

@CrossCountryUK So no improvement then as the first class section was only a tiny part of one carriage and with no option to upgrade for those travelling longer distances. 2 or 3 carriages is woefully inadequate on this route. Carriages are crammed and unsafe.

@greateranglia So it’s nothing do with the number of staff -you have just told me on another site that all the toilets at Ely station are undergoing maintenance.They must be very badly engineered as most times I have the misfortune of visiting this station the toilets are closed for maintenance

@greateranglia I don’t understand why you can’t have a toilet open due to staff shortages- are there no staff on duty at Ely station at all?
