She’s 82. Was out here in the dark at 7:00 watering the pens for dust control. Sorted and worked cows beside us for 11 hrs. Never missed a beat! Not because we asked or expected anything from her, but she’s quietly adding to the legend that is my #grandma

There's no snow so I don't know where this water is coming from. But good to see! Also found alfalfa waking up. March 6

We're pretty damn fortunate to have her. Despite all the pics, we do occasionally help her with some of the work. If you've read this far, here's your reminder to stay active!

We were pouring some concrete around the house. Poured this patch then followed the truck to the other side for a while. When I walked back here, she was trowling my sidewalk.

Let's celebrate, We've got a birthday this week! Buckle up, I'm about to unload "some" of the photos from my grandma folder for her 87th this week. Here she is with her chainsaw. Cutting some sheathing off the barn into sizes she can handle. She was 85 then.

Everytime that white box behind the combine tips, it's leaving a pile of chaff and seeds. Our cow-calf pairs and bred heifers will be through here this week to convert that pile into $$$

@Sask_F7 Are you looking at that pole in a different way now, after gramma told you the story behind it.

I needed an extra long broom handle. Found this in the shop, asked grandma if I could steal it, not knowing what it was from. She said yes, and said it's a tent pole. Tent pole, from what? My great grandpa would drive cattle from here to meadow lake (460 km), slept in tents!

Got this XCN and NAV 500 with an ez steer. Moved the whole system from tractor to swather and the ez dropped off and it won't find it again. Any suggestions?

Same spot, different angle, and few months apart. But it's funny how 12' deep snowbanks can help grow the forage. Now, to get tree rows across all of my acres...🤔

@Connor_English1 We do plan on pumping to a large trough 20-30' away but won't fence off the dugout, keep it as a back up source. With the off site trough they likely won't go to the dugout much

@Sask_F7 We’ve been digging ours very steep on all sides and getting fences around them. Pump water out of them in some form or fashion

Question for cattle folks. We got a few dugouts made. The sides of these seem too steep to me, but the ends are acceptable for cattle to go in/out. Do steep sides like this lead to drowned cattle or would they find their way to the end? Picture it either full or 3/4 full
