you don't need a thousand knobs in your face. you don't need to hide the crack in your voice. you don't need to smoothen every rough edge until there's nothing left to feel. ever wonder how much art you're losing in the pursuit of perfectionism? how much of your identity you're erasing? we exist on a floating blob and live delusional lives. the art we make saves us from the void every day, and yet we choose to subject it to our worst fears. and now everything sounds like it was made in a lab by someone very, very careful and very, very paranoid. listen to your playlists. the songs that wreck you always have something unresolved in them. cracks exist so the other person can find themselves in it. the imperfection is the invitation. so for the love of art and for the future of music, stop mass producing your own creations.
