Happy Anniversary Scales Fam! Blows my mind to think that it's been an entire year since we dropped our first 500 Scales. Today, we're reflecting on our successes, our failures. What we've achieved, what we've overcome. Today, we steel ourselves: We've made it this far, but we are not yet done. We are but halfway to our goal. We are both daunted and excited by the prospect of another year of creating, evolving, and communing with our beautiful Scales Fam. It will no doubt challenge us in ways we have not yet imagined. But we've made it this far. And we have solemnly vowed to complete this project, no matter what. Today, more than anything, we are grateful. We wouldn't be here without you all. We are here because of you and for you, Scales Fam. There is no greater reason. I'm talking to you, Magnum Opus Club, Royalty Club, Scales Holders. It’s always hard for me to come back after a creative break. It’s too easy to let that break extend out indefinitely, then suddenly months have passed, nothing has been created, and the (self-imposed) pressure sets in. Is it a me thing or do other creatives do this too?

Learning that the winner of First Light is @Satisfied_cat has me ugly crying in my studio. Penny was the first person I ever spoke with in Discord. She has been a rock for me since the birth of Scales. Considering what First Light means, this feels like a hug from the cosmos.
