World Bank to world: oops

100% Indian Boy Scouts in Frisco Texas tonight. Is this what diversity looks like?

"Milton Friedman’s misfortune is that his economic policies have been tried." -John Kenneth Galbraith

"My position, since you asked me to be clear about it, is that if America’s elite becomes over 40% Asian (as Harvard’s freshman class is), we will come to resemble China and India in various ways." I know the ins and outs of scientific racism. I helped make scientific racism a thing on the right. Let me say that this is the dumbest version of it. I've lived in a city that was over 50% Chinese. It did not resemble China. I was still allowed to criticize the government. There are Indian neighborhoods in the Bay Area or Texas you can walk through. They're not Calcutta. This is why the taboo on talking about race differences has probably been a good thing. It gives people a way to justify prejudices.
