@dbeale12 When a small, committed group keeps ‘misunderstanding’ you in exactly the same way no matter how carefully you explain it, the problem is probably with them, not with you.

When a wide range of people keep raising the same concern about someone’s teaching, and they all seem to be ‘misunderstanding’ or ‘misrepresenting’ what’s being said, it may be worth considering that the issue isn’t misunderstanding at all but the content itself.

Much to the consternation of some, there is no beef between @RoomForNuance_ and Phil Johnson. To the contrary, I'm deeply grateful for Phil's decades of faithful labor for the cause of Christ and his gospel. Brothers can disagree from time to time. That's part of the rough and tumble of the faith.

Folks keep quoting the analogical language as if it's univocal, ignoring the "but it is not the incarnation" right there.

My outsider's perspective is that it seems as if most of the folks who share your perspective have more of an axe to grind rather than actually hearing what your opponents are saying.
