Without Dubravka we would be finished. This is why I think we should start questioning Parker if we fail to win Leeds or Wolves. Lose both then I think there’s a serious case.

📷 Vitor Silva/Botafogo

Controversial but I personally don’t think Egan Riley will be a huge loss in terms of on the pitch, he’s great at football and his passing range is class however he is slow and he is blocky and a against prem st I think he won’t keep up physically. Similar to TBH

@FplTurf Bit of a tall order, you have just listed the things for a perfect football

If we go up, I think we need to invest HEAVILY in physicality and play to Parker’s strengths, which in my OPINION is counter attacking football.
The players I’d be looking at would need to tick the following boxes at a minimum :
- Between 6’2ft - 6’4ft
- Strong
- Natural Athleticism
- Naturally fit
- Rarely injured
- Strong work ethic
- Good attitude
- Good team work
- Above average pace
- Middle 20’s with experience in a top 5 league
- Capable technically (Not a kick and run type player)
- Consistent performances over the past few seasons.
I would love Awoniyi from Forest upfront but doubt he’d be interested with them getting Europe.
In my opinion we need to be unique if we are going to stay up. We need to be the most physically demanding team every team goes up against.
We cant out play the other teams so while we are the new kids on the block I think the best way forward is thinking outside the box, not becoming another robotic systematic team.
Just my opinions, interested to hear yours fellow clarets ?

This is all a rough estimate but Mike tresor joined Burnley for £14.9 million on 31st August 2023 and his wage is around £20k, it’s been 75 weeks since that point so his wage/price would be 16.4 million. This would mean he’s has cost Burnley around 25k per minute #Twitterclarets
