🇰🇿❗️🇺🇦 Kazakh authorities will not allow Ukrainian Naftogaz to recover assets in the country worth $1.4 billion from Russian Gazprom after Astana International Financial Center court's decision allowed it to do so, — Justice Ministry "The republic's legal mechanisms do not provide for the consideration of disputes not related to its jurisdiction, and therefore the considered AIFC court decision will not be executed on the territory of Kazakhstan," Sarsembayev noted. He explains that the Constitution limits the AIFC's jurisdiction so that this court can only consider disputes related to the activities of the Financial Center itself or those that the parties have sent for consideration under the agreement. Gazprom, as the Minister of Justice states, is not a member of the AIFC and did not agree to consider the case in court. Gazprom has now been given 14 days to appeal this decision.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 On 27 February 2026, the day before the Iran conflict began, more than 150 tankers and vessels traveled through the Strait of Hormuz. Last week the number of vessels going through the Strait daily was around 3. This collapse of commerce is a consequence of Iran’s ability to harass civilian tankers so much that shipping companies no longer view the journey as worth the cost. The time works against US to find a solution on Hormuz, especially as American and other customers are bearing the brunt of higher fuel prices. What is the US solution going to be: A) More bombing; B) More waiting; C) Diplomatic settlement; D) Other?

🎥"Lukashenko's regime bears its share of responsibility for this": Belarusian oppositionist Tikhanovskaya visited Lukyanivka in Kyiv after the Russian attack "I want Ukrainians to know: Belarusians are with you. We support Ukraine not because it is "politically correct", but because we feel this pain as our own," she noted.

🇨🇳🇯🇵 FT: Xi Jinping sharply criticized Japan’s military buildup during his summit with Trump in Beijing. Xi reportedly became unusually heated while accusing Japanese PM Sanae Takaichi of “remilitarisation” and condemning Tokyo’s rising defence spending. Trump responded that Japan needed stronger defenses because of threats from North Korea.

Usyk won with experience and championship mentality. As a true professional, he strategically turned the fight around and started putting real pressure in the final rounds when his opponent began to slow down. It’s unfortunate we didn’t see Round 12 it genuinely felt like Usyk could have finished the fight with a knockout.

🇺🇸🇪🇺 A new study from the US-based New England Journal of Medicine found that Americans die earlier across all income levels compared to their European counterparts. What’s especially notable is that America’s one percenters are getting outlived by Europe’s poorest. US’s overall average life expectancy is 79, while EU’s is 82. At the same time, US is spending much more (18% of GDP) than EU (10%) on healthcare. What’s the main reason for the European advantage over US in the key parameter of public health, such as longevity: A) Better diet; B) Universal healthcare; C) Cheaper and less drugs prescribed; D) More preventive rather than reactive healthcare; E) Other?

🇫🇷🇧🇾 Belarusian oppositionist Latushko thanked Macron for his stern warning to Lukashenko about the inadmissibility of drawing Belarus into a war against Ukraine. According to Latushko, Lukashenko understands only the "language of force", and France has enough influence to convey this signal.

🇬🇧Britain, 🇫🇷France, 🇪🇸Spain, 🇮🇹Italy and 🇨🇦Canada have opposed NATO member states allocating 0.25% of GDP to military aid to 🇺🇦Ukraine — The Telegraph. The author of the initiative, Mark Rutte, had hoped to ratify the proposal at the July NATO summit in Ankara. However, he later announced that it would not be implemented for now. At least 7 states expressed their support for proposal. However, 5 states were against. At the same time, the UK’s military aid to Ukraine is not in doubt. Prime Minister Keir Starmer has promised to allocate at least £3 billion a year in the near future. According to the Kiel Institute, the Netherlands, Poland and the Nordic and Baltic countries provide Ukraine with support at the level of 0.25% of GDP or more. Rutte argued that aid to Ukraine is “not distributed evenly within NATO” and many countries “are not spending enough on supporting Ukraine”.

🇮🇷🇺🇸 CBS News: Iran has agreed in principle to dispose of its highly enriched uranium as part of ongoing U.S. negotiations, according to a senior White House official. A final deal has not yet been signed, but the Trump administration believes Iran’s supreme leader has approved the framework. Officials are still negotiating how the uranium would be disposed of.

🥴 Meanwhile, the Russians brought so-called foreign “journalists” to the occupied city of Starobilsk, presumably to legitimize and justify the strikes on civilians in Kyiv. Against the backdrop of this propaganda, Russian MoD claimed that it was striking “military targets.”

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Reuters journalist: doubts over whether Trump can translate “tactical military successes” into geopolitical win? He goes out of the way to please Trump by further stating that “Trump may have won just about every battle against Iran”. But then the Reuters article goes on to admit that the only tangible outcome of the war so far - is Iran’s gained leverage over Hormuz. With the result that US and Gulf Arab States could emerge from the conflict “worse off”. Iran’s nuclear ambitions also remain unchecked. Adding to Trump’s challenges, he is now dealing with new Iranian leaders considered even more hardline than their slain predecessors. The article admits that US did its best to actually rejuvenate and enbolden the Iran regime. It ends with a grim prediction by a Brookings Institution expert that the Iran war might be a “more decisive setback” to US globally than 🇻🇳Vietnam and 🇦🇫Afghanistan because those countries “were far from the main theaters of global competition.” reuters.com/world/asia-pac…

🇺🇸🇮🇷 CNN: A potential US-Iran deal would require Iran to forgo nuclear weapons and begin talks on giving up its highly enriched uranium stockpile while halting new enrichment. Details on removing the stockpile and how long enrichment would pause would be negotiated later.
