@karin_richards1 @AdamBronkhorst no you can't just go around cutting other peoples plants. it could kill the whole thing if you don't know what you are doing. it is the councils job to make sure the streets are open, safe and clean. i pay the council to do that, not the other way around.

@SaveRMRs @AdamBronkhorst Maybe the neighbours/community should take it into their hands to trim overgrown bushes that fall into their street then!

@SaveRMRs @AdamBronkhorst Why should the council do anything... it is the property owners responsibility to keep hedges trimmed so not to obstruct pavements etc ...and maintain fences!

@SouthEalingRoad that's not an old restaurant !! i think they opened before the pandemic. i admire them for trying at least. they are the best of them out there but they won't survive for long either. who can afford a steak these days anyway..

@SouthEalingRoad not surprised at all - very very low quality shops all across south ealing road. no vision, no strategy, no style, no marketing. entire road south of the popes lane junction should be demolished and modernised.

The Truth..LTNs push congestion onto others. Here is @EnfieldCouncil leader @Nesil_Caliskan admitting congestion just gets moved along.She decided to push more congestion and pollution onto areas outside the LTNs harming thousands of residents and children. Listen for yourselves.

@SouthEalingRoad it can't be %100 about food. some effort needed for marketing as well. if not, this is what happens.. restaurants come and go every year without achieving any sustainable commercial success.

@SouthEalingRoad no i think boarded up and then conversion to something there is local demand for would be better (decent housing perhaps...) - most of the edwardian buildings these takeaways are in are crumbling.

@SaveRMRs Well indeed - so we are lucky to have these places, rather than boarded up units (not that there aren’t a few of them about) aren’t we?

It used to be ‘Chicken Cottage’. Then ‘The Chicken Shop’. And then ‘South Ealing Piri Piri’. It’s now......drum(stick) roll... ‘Amazing Chicken’. Amazing.

@SouthEalingRoad can't think of more shops that could thrive - there is far too much retail space in ealing.. need either proper residential space or just decorative greenery... south ealing road desperately needs some trees for example. the area where the amazing chicken is looks like 3rd world

@SouthEalingRoad shop sizes are just too small to be anything but cheap takeaways - so no :) water infused cheap chicken that never walked in its life or yet another barber shop

@SaveRMRs I think we all know Harrod’s aren’t opening a branch on South Ealing Road anytime soon. Chicken and Cevapi closed this year - does that mean we’re on the up?!
