We are grateful to our friends @nylcv for honoring Save the Sound's work in Westchester County at their event @Mville_U on Tuesday night. We appreciate their leadership and partnership on critical environmental issues in the Long Island Sound region and across the state.

On Nov. 1, they sleep in. The six-month Unified Water Study season ended on Thursday, and our crew thanks our 26 partner groups for all the early mornings on the water and everything else involved in the hard, important work of monitoring our bays and harbors around the Sound.

Thanks to everyone who joined the call for clean water at Monday's rally in Babylon. We heard from environmental champions, the business community, unions, educators, surfers, and one hopeful turtle, all urging Suffolk County voters to flip their ballots & vote yes on Prop 2.

The Eastern Narrows received a B in our recently released 2024 Long Island Sound Report Card. This means that for the 2023 monitoring season, 98% of the open waters of the Sound received a B grade or better. But what about the bays and harbors in the Eastern Narrows? 1/2
