To argue that millions of ordinary people are angry about mass uncontrolled immigration because Farage 'whipped them up' is patronising and wrong, for it implies that they are thick and have no agency. These people are angry because they are angry, not because they are stupid.

The change brought by this election is far more dramatic than realised. Only 3/30 members of Boris Johnson’s 2022 cabinet remain in Commons 2 years later - 90 per cent of his leadership are gone. This is a radically different commons. Let’s hope the new MPs improve things…. before they are co-opted by the leadership and whips

As has been widely reported, Labour’s manifesto gives a strong endorsement to an independent state for Palestine.
