I’ll be live on News Central TV shortly to break down Matchday 16 in the #NWFL26 Tune in if you can.

Despite winning WAFCON 2024, Super Falcons players are STILL being owed bonuses and allowances. Nigeria’s heroines brought the trophy home last July, but months later, many are yet to receive their full winning bonuses, camp allowances, and even entitlements from the qualifiers against Cape Verde. From inadequate kits and poor preparation to waiting up to 6 months for their personal belongings, the welfare of our Super Falcons continues to be treated as an afterthought. Players speaking anonymously said it best: “We give everything for the country on the pitch, but the welfare side often feels like an afterthought.” This is not just about money, it’s about respect, proper planning, and valuing the women who continue to make Nigeria proud in African women’s football. NFF says efforts are being made, but no clear timeline has been given. As another WAFCON approaches, it’s time to treat our champions better.
